Alternatives, Inc. held their Annual Dignity Gala at the Grand Colonial on March 15th. This year’s event brought in nearly $90,000 that will provide for support services for individuals with special needs.
Guests were delighted to honor Sam Guynes, The agency’s former Chairman of the Board at the gala. Sam led Alternatives for more than 20 years! He helped usher in tremendous growth during his tenure. When Sam joined the Alternatives Board of Trustees Alternatives had a budget of about $1 million, but with his help the budget has increased to more than $15 million and the scope of services to people with disabilities has increased along with it. Guests also learned a little bit more about the clients served by listening to Carol Harris speak about her experience as an Alternatives client for nearly twenty years.

To cap off the night, Alternatives picked 1 winner for a cash raffle totaling more than $17,000. After all is said and done, the true winners are those who benefit directly from everyone’s generosity – clients of Alternatives, Inc.
