RARITAN, N.J. (February 2, 2010) – Bridges to Employment, along with Our House and Delta Community Supports, Inc., is hosting Walk For Work at the Bridgewater Commons on Sunday, March 21^st from 10:00-11:30 a.m.

 “We have helped hundreds of people with special needs lead more fulfilling lives through workplace independence,” said Glori Bine-Callagy, director of Bridges to Employment. “We are hopeful that through this event, we will raise awareness about the untapped workforce of people with disabilities in New Jersey.”

Bridges to Employment, Our House and Delta Community Supports have joined together in this effort to emphasize the impact supported employment has on our community. Walkers are invited to form a team with friends, family, neighbors or coworkers to support this great cause with pledges. Your $10 registration fee entitles you to receive a ‘Walk For Work’ t-shirt and once at the event, refreshments and an event booklet filled with coupons for stores at the Commons will be available to all walkers. For those not able to participate in the Walk For Work, donations are greatly appreciated.

Bridges to Employment, a division of Alternatives, Inc., serves as an employment service for individuals with cognitive, emotional or physical disabilities. They provide a variety of pre-employment preparations as well as continued support for individuals to ensure success and a feeling of fulfillment to their community. They also assist employers in increasing workplace diversity.
