Alternatives Inc. would like to recognize Demetrius as a STAR!

Through the over 20 years Demetrius has been with Alternatives, we have watched him grow and achieve many of his goals. Demetrius will no doubt put a smile on the face of those around him, whether he is playing music, or showing off his fabulous dance moves. Demetrius can often be seen outside of his apartment complex, with a friendly greeting to those walking around, or coming to visit. He always treats other clients and staff with utmost respect.

Demetrius greatly enjoys being out and about in his community, and likes to attend community events and go shopping with staff and friends. Demetrius always takes the initiative to clean up his room and apartment and takes great pride in his personal hygiene and appearance. He is always dressed in great outfits, and very intentional with his choices. Demetrius loves to share with friends and others no matter how little he has. He is a truly caring person. He has worked hard over the years on his mental health, and is thriving at his day program, where he participates in various activities like exercising, singing, arts and crafts, games and puzzles.

He enjoys touring others around the program and his apartment, and has actively participated in visits from Legislators throughout the years, where he is proud to share and advocate. We are honored to nominate him for the 2025 STARs event.
