David has been with the Alternatives Inc. community since 2009 and lives in Independent Senior Living with his wife whom he met through Alternatives Inc. David takes pride in his home and is always looking for ways to help his wife around the house and become more independent.

The support that David gets from Alternatives staff has been a catalyst for a new lifestyle. “I love Alternatives! Everyone takes care of me and I enjoy meeting with each person,” David says. Alternatives staff Hannah meets with David on a weekly basis to work on his goals that he created with the clinician. David enjoys going on walks, coloring, doing word searches and cross word puzzles, as well as keeping a daily routine for structure. David has participated in Alternatives events like the Winter Awards Dinner and the annual summer party at Forest Lodge.

Outside of David’s daily routine, David enjoys spending time with his wife, connecting with his sister on FaceTime or over text, and being very devout in his religion. David grew up locally in Manville, NJ and worked full-time at CVS before his time at Alternatives. David has a great sense of pride for his community and he looks forward to his meetings every week and continues to make progress in the areas he is most focused on.
